28 weeks

I've had a somewhat eventful last couple of weeks.  I went in a week and a half ago because I was spotting/bleeding and kinda crampy.  They ended up running all sorts of tests and I found out that I was 1 cm dilated and got a positive fFn test.  This means that I could potentially go into labor within 2 weeks.  So I was sent home and put on strict bedrest until I could see my doctor in 3 days.  When I went to see my doctor he did another exam and said my internal os of the cervix was closed and my cervix was high and still long.  He just put some limitations on a few things and said I should be fine.  Yay!

28 weeks in pic

Stats:

Weight gain:  23 lbs at my appt today...143

Symptoms:  I have a cold right now so I feel yucky from that but it's getting harder to bend over.  My skin pigment is looking uneven on my face.  Some Braxton hicks.  Shortness of breath.

Maternity clothes:  yes and it's kinda fun in the winter to put outfits together :) I also wear my north face snow boots everywhere because I'm afraid of falling.

Movement: yes mostly noticeable when I'm resting.  Baby feels transverse mostly.

What I'm looking forward to:  seeing family this week and friends to celebrate Christmas.

Milestones: 28 weeks!  Can't believe in about 3 months we will have 3 kiddos to take care!

Sleep:  not great with sick kids the past week.  Also going pee about 2 times a night.

Cravings:  nothing really

Gender: still don't know!  Heart rate was in the 140's yesterday.  Can't wait to find out!!

Next appt is in 2 weeks and I have another fetal echo at u of m in January

Me and my girls on my birthday :)

A big snow fall about 8 inches total

24 weeks!

Good ol bathroom pic :)

Only 16 weeks left??!!

Feeling good for the most part.  Minor heartburn, some stomach issues, some aches and cramping here and there.  My scale says I've gained 12 pounds and weighing in at 132.  I gained more last pregnancy at this point.  After the holidays I will focus more on baby and getting ready.  :)

Week 22 and catching up

Belly pics to come soon!

Here's some pics of the anatomy scan which was a few weeks ago.

Baby looked great!

We also had the fetal echo done at U of M and the heart looks great!  I had 2 different doctors scan me and we told them both that we weren't finding out the sex early.  Patrick said the second doctor didn't do a very good job of staying clear of that area!  He thinks he knows what we're having!  ;p.  We go back in January for a follow up echo just to make sure things look ok.

Survey of last few weeks:

How far along?  22ish weeks

Maternity clothes:  yes and I bought few more winter tops from Burlington coat factory.  They had such cute tops!  Wearing all maternity pants now.

Weight gain:  up like 12 pounds from 120 to 132

Symptoms:  just started getting more aches and hip pain, cramping some.  No more headaches!!  Food kinda tastes off again.  Tired and moody at times.

Size of baby:  he or she was around 10 oz at the anatomy scan

Gender:  team green!  Pat is convinced boy because he thinks he saw stuff during both ultrasounds.  We'll see!!

Nursery:  our walls are light gray and we'll keep the lavender and yellow stuff if its another girl.  If its a boy I will probably do an aviation theme or nautical theme. Colors maybe orange and navy or teal or red, navy and yellow

Cravings:  nothing in particular

Sleep: not great but I'm used to it!  Haven't slept well in 4 years.  Pee a few times, toss and turn.  Give Colette milk once in night.

What I'm looking forward to:  viability

Advice:  enjoy my family of 4 :)

Milestones:  over half way!

Amelia update:  she is loving writing and practicing reading.  She is just growing up way too fast!  She is definitely a leader and outgoing.  She loves Sunday school and awana on Wednesdays.  She is in the 50th % for weight and height and doctor thinks she'll be 5'3 or 5'4 as an adult..which is average female height.  She's a great sleeper and has almost been potty trained for a year now day and night.  Praying Colette will be easy in that area as well!  Amelia still has some tantrums and does whine quite a bit.  :) we love her!

Colette update:  she was weaned from me at 14 months and has been weaned from her pacifier for a week now.  She wakes up once for milk in the night.  She is talking more and more and copies most words.  She loves playing with sister and wrestling with her.  She is in 85th % for weight and 65th % for height. She is slimming down just like Amelia did.  She is now running all over and just seems like a big girl and not a baby anymore.  She's such a sweetie and so love able.  She gives huggies and kisses :).

Thankful for my kiddos and love being a mommy!  Trying not to think about the challenges of 3 yet :/. It overwhelms me when I do...day by day and allowing The Lord to work in and through me will be the only way to make it!!!

15 weeks

15 week stats:

How far along?
15ish weeks

Symptoms:
Headaches mostly

Gender of babe:
Unknown and hoping to stay that way until march :).  Our anatomy scan is set for October 21 and fetal echo for October 26.  Hoping we don't see that area.  Still pretty sure girl though based on heartrate, usually in 150's and how I feel.  Very similar to how I felt with Colette.

Weight gain:
Weighed 127 today, so up about 7 lbs

What I'm looking forward to:
Getting good sleep again!  Oy, it's been a rough couple years in that area.  Colette getting through teething and weaning would be nice too.

Milestones:
Almost half way?!

Cravings:
Lots of different things.  From salty to sweet :)

Updates on sisters:

Colette is walking!  She's also cutting her molars and not been a very pleasant baby lately.  Hoping to wean her very soon because I'm so sore!  Amelia is 3!  She is now in awana and dance class.  She loves socializing :)

We are still working on our house and we will be getting our floors put in soon.  It's been a great place to live and I think will be perfect with 3 kids!  We love our yard, and our neighborhood is great for walking.

Life is hectic with church activities and family life.  I also will be starting a volunteer position at a pregnancy center, which I've always wanted to do.  My life is full and we're blessed beyond what we deserve!

Our countdown shirt!  Fun :)

8 week survey and first appointment

I had my first appointment yesterday with the new practice here in our new hometown Jackson.  I'm not loving seeing a new doctor and midwives and I miss Saginaw!  I met with the midwife yesterday and went over paperwork things.  Pat took the morning off and we hired a sitter for the girls.  I thought we'd check for a viable pregnancy but she said no we're just doing history.  She said at 12 weeks is when you meet with the doctor and he does an ultrasound and physical.  I asked why they wouldn't just do that all in one visit.  She said, well I can do your physical today, so we did.  She ended up getting out the doppler and checking for the heartbeat.  What do you know?  She heard it right away!  170's.  She said there was no way that I was only 8 weeks, that my uterus felt like 12 or 13 and she has never picked up a heartbeat at 8.  She ended up setting up an ultrasound for that afternoon.  (Which we had to find another sitter for and we missed nap:( )...  She said maybe I had a fibroid or cyst that was making me big or maybe my dates were wrong or multiples.  There was no way my dates were wrong!  We were nerved up and the ultrasound tech was kind of cold not divulging much of what she saw.  She did tell is the baby looked good and had a heartbeat of 180.  The baby measured 8 weeks 2 days..exactly my calculations! She then said we had to sit outside the room and she would call my doctor.  Very odd situation!  Finally, she came out and said the midwife was on the phone and wanted to speak with me.  The midwife said all is fine and your baby is a super baby!  She's never heard a heartbeat that early...which I think is weird.  So yeah, we praised The Lord as we left and felt relieved.  She scared us for nothing, but I'm glad we got to see our baby.  I guess your uterus makes it way up a lot faster with each pregnancy :).

8 week survey

How far along: 8 weeks 3 days

Weight: 123

Weight gain: not sure what i started at

Symptoms: short of breath, vivid dreams, peeing a lot, queasy, tired, moody, dizzy sometimes and headachy...oh, I tried sea bands and they work!  They hurt your wrists after awhile though.

Maternity clothes: no, but I feel like I'm showing already.

Gender: thinking another girl, like 90% sure in my gut.  We are waiting to find out this time :)

Movement: nope

Sleep: not good...Colette cosleeps with us and still nurses.  Ready to end that!

Food: I'm hungry a lot but also feel queasy.  Depends on the day with what sounds good or not.

Milestones: heartbeat!

Weekly wisdom: nap when kids nap and rest as much as possible.

Sisters updates: Amelia will be 3 next month and is a typical 2 1/2 year old.  She loves learning, art, watching shows, puzzles, whining, talking and singing.  She can count to 20 and knows most sight words.    Been potty trained since last Christmas and sleeps pretty good.  She attends the 3 and 4 Sunday school at church and will be taking dance this fall.  She wants a brother :).
Colette just turned 1.  She is a happy baby most of the time but is very clingy to mama. She says hi and bye and loves to clap and wave.  She is not a good sleeper.  She loves to eat and nurse.  The girls love each other but also fight daily.  Looking forward to adding another one!!

Making an appearance :)

I haven't been on here since January!  Anyways, there are 2 big pieces of news to share.  First, we are moved into our new house.  It sits on a great wooded lot and has a lot of space.  We painted the entire upstairs, trim included and will be painting the main floor in the next month or so.  We had a leak from the main bath that went down into the kitchen, that we are making an insurance claim for.  We'll be getting new wood floors and new floor in the master bath.  This house has been good for the most part...even though we've had pest issues like ants, mice and random dead frogs.  I think it will be a great house to raise our kids in!  We had our whole family over for Colette's first birthday and it was a perfect house for a large crowd.

Outside house pics:

Pics from Colette's first birthday, You are my Sunshine:

Pic of sisters visiting big brother Liam's grave on his 4 year anniversary/birthday. We miss you Liam!!!!!!

And my brother got accepted into CRNA school down in Florida and will start in October of this year...which means they will be moving for 28 months :(.  I'm happy for them but sad and will miss them terribly!  Amelia will miss Adam and nataleigh so much!!  I'll miss my sister-in-love Emileigh like crazy!  She's one of my best friends :(

And the final news to share is this;

It's still super early in the pregnancy and I haven't been to the doctor yet, but yeah, pregnant again!  Complete surprise!  Can my body handle this??  I'm still nursing Colette!  I'm 7 or 8 weeks and feel tired and queasy here and there.  I'm taking it day by day :) and am excited for another sweet baby.  I'd like to be team green this time around but pat's not sure about that.  Praying for a healthy baby and good pregnancy.  Ok, well off to bed.  I'm one tired mama lately ;)

I'm back :)

I haven't written a post in 4 months! A lot has happened again :). We now live in Jackson, Mi. Patrick got a job as a worship arts director at an awesome church here. We are thankful for this ministry opportunity. Amelia is completely potty trained and Colette will be 6 months old this month! Here are some pics of the last few months.
